A new possibility for plasma heating is proposed a.nd theoretical investigation isperformed. Under a suitable experimental conditi<cn, the wave induced by thetwo-streaun instability and Buneman/ion-acoustic wave induced by the returncurrent can coexist and interact to yield a new contribution to pIas??aa heatingby the reJativistic electron beam. The authors assunxe this is the case and develop'the formulation necessary for the analysis of the s;pectral function of turbulentrlasma. Detail of the interaction mechanism and :numerical estinaation of stop-ping power are given in the following paper (J. Phys. Soc. Jpn. 49 (1980) 1532).
