^<139>La NQR Study in Superconducting La_<2-x>CuO_<4-y>

Nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) measurements were performed on superconducting La. ,Cub. , (7'. - 30 K) synthesized by high-temperature and high-pressureoxygen enrichment. At liquid 'He temperature, the existence of a weak and broad linehas been found around 6.35 MHz which is the resonance frequency expected instoichiometric La.Cu0. when an internal magnetic field is abv;ent. The spin-echo in-tensity of this new signal increases in weak magnetic field ( - 100 Oe) which is charac-teristic of the resonance in the mixed state of the superconductors. On the otherhand, the dominant lines corresponding to the magnetic phase do not show any signifi-cant changes in contrast with the case of the Sr-doj>ed samples. These results indicatethat superconductivity occurs in the regions where antiferromagnetic ordering is sup-pressed sufficiently by the carrier doping.
