NMR Study of ^<77>Se in Layered Superconducting 2H-NbSe_2

The nuclear spin-lattice relaxation tiatae T. and the Knight shift K of "Se in2H-NbSe., an anisotropic type II stuperconductor, have been measured at 8 MHzand at low temperatures (1.3-I 1 K). In normal state,"(A):0.26(%)and"(7".7'):2.0 secK were obtained. They are independent of temperature. In st?percon-ducting mixed state, "(A) reduces with decreasing temperature and tends to aconsiderably small but non-zero value at T<<T. corresponding to the BCS singletspin pairing. The residual shift is explained by the existence of small spin-orbitinteraction. "(7'.) increases exponentially with the energy gap of 3.5A.7'(. Fromthe data for "(7'1), root naean square amisotropy of the energy gap is estimatedto be of the order of 20% of the energy gap. Origins of the relaxation and theKnimht shift of "Se were also discussed on the basis of Chi eners>r band structure.
