Neutron diffraction and magnetic susceptibility measurements were performed on aseries of pseudobinary intermetallic compounds Y(Mn. ,AN.).. Antiferromagneticorder being developed in YMn. has been shown to collapse by substitution of nomore than 5% of manganese atoms by aluminum atoms. Growth of broad peaks inneutron diffraction patterns at low temperatures and field hysteresis behavior ob-served in magnetic susceptibility measurements indicate a development of a shortrange correlated spin glass phase.
