The measurements of heat capacity were made for liquid Se-Te mixtures using anadiabatic scanning calorimeter. Liquid Se.Te. .. mixtures witlt x=O.2 to 0.6 exhibitmaxima in the temperature dependence of heat capacity. The position of heat capa-city maximum shifts toward higher temperature with increasing Se concentration. The plots of heat capacity against conductivity show a maximtum in the range of 150to 400 (ohm= cm) . It indicates that the bonding rearrangement is most active in thisrange of conductivity. A strong correlation is found between the heat capacity andthe temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibility. In the sc:miconducting region, the large excess heat capacity can be attributed to the formation of dangling bonds. Inthe metallic region, the excess heat capacity can be related to the change in the densityof states caused by the bonding rearrangement.
