The electrical conductivities of liquid Fe-Te, Co-Te and Ni-Te systems increasewith increasing transition metal (TM) concentration. The values of conductivity ob-tained at 1200'C are 2980, 3780 and 5260ohm '?cm ' for the composition FeTe,CoTe and Nice, respectively. However, the conductivities of liquid Ti-Te, V-Te andCr-Te alloys decrease with increasing TM concentration. Moreover, the liquid MnTe system exhibits a sharp minimum at the composition MnTe. The values of conductivity obtained at 12OO'C are 1710 and 22 ohm '?cm ' for the composition CrTe andMnTe, respectively. The corresponding data for magnetic susceptibility indicate thatthe density of V-like states at the Fermi level E. is fairly large for liquid CoTe andNice and small for liquid MnTe. The conductivities of liquid TM-Te alloys areclosely related to the density of #-like states at E..
