The electrical conductivity of the liquid InTe. alloy increases with addition of Fe,Co and Ni solutes, and decreases with addition of Ti, V, Cr and Mn solutes. For theliquid In.Te, solvent, the trend of the increase in the conductivity in the series of Iransition metal solutes exhibits a large peak at Ni and a small peak at V. The increase inthe conductivity for Fe, Co and Ni solutes is considerably larger than that for othertransition metal solutes. The remarkable increase in the conductivity caused by addi-lion of transition metal solutes is closely related to the increase in the total density ofstates at the Fermi level due to the sp-d admixture effect.
