The local maxnetic moment at the Curie temr:>erature in the 35 at z xi-realloy retains still a half value of the masnetic moment at 0 K. Taking into con-sideration this fact, new formulas are r>ror>osed, which describe reasonably thephenomena of spontaneous volume magnetostriction and forced volume magneto-striction. The maxnetovolume cour>tins constant determined bv the new formulasis arr>roximatelv 1.2XI0-'cm'/emu' for Fe-Ni Invar alto>'s, which is inde-pendent of the Ni concentration.
