Power Spectrum Analysis of Quantum Oscillations of the Velocity of Sound in Antimony

By the power spectrum analysis of the quantum oscillations of the soundvelocity in antimony, the geometrical factors G of the energy surfaces werestudied. For holes it was found that G is ellipsoidal for the light mass directions.The coupling constants of holes with the sound wave were determined from thepeak values of the power spectrum as follows: JCf?"=-:20.0f1.0, IC{l"=1.680.3,jC:?'=5.65-40.30, JC/J"=5.95f0.40and J(1'fJ"=0,55.f0.05 eV". Itwasalso foundthat for electrons G differs from the eJlipsoid. The coupling constants weredetermined under the assumption that the densities of states of electrons andholes at zero magnetic field are given by the ellipsoidal models. The results are:]C.:[":18.2f3.6, IC:1"=8.66,1:1.7, jC;j"=22.6f5.0, [CC1"=2.78.ll:50.55 andC:['=0.475.50.043 eV'.
