Deviation from the Diffusion Process in the Nonlinear Radial Twist Mapping

In the chaotic process for the radial twist mapping with an arbitrary nonlinear rotation number function, it is shown that there exists a critical time N_c which separates two diffusion processes. In the short time limit N≪N_C, the diffusion coefficient is of the standard mapping value, in the opposite limit N≫N_C it is of the quasilinear value, and in the intermediate region N〜N_c the process is not appropriately described by diffusion.
