Empirical Relation between Amplitude and Period of Spin Density Wave for Cr(V) and Cr(Mn) Alloys

Both the amplitude of the magnetic moment M_1 and the wave veotor δ on the primary component of antiferromagnetic spin density wave in Cr(V) and Cr(Mn) alloys were measured by means of neutron diffraction. A Iinear relation of M^2_1 to δ^2 is found at each temperature. The observation leads to the expression for the magnetic moment density on the sublattice by a Jacobi's elliptic sn function whose modulus varies with the composition. The sn function expressiorr was found to bc useful for the representation of the harmonics of the SDW, too.
