Solitons with the Hopf Index versus Skyrmions in SU(2) Nonlinear Sigma Model : Progress Letters

A general proof is given that the SU(2) nonlinear sigma model admits classical soliton solutions with the Hopf index in so far as the model stabilizes Skyrmions by four-derivative terms.
