Pion-Nucleon Coupling Constant in the 1/N Expansion

Under the assumption that the Nambu-Goldstone mechanism takes place prior to the confinement, N dependences of various low energy parameters are studied from a combined viewpoint of the 1/N expansion, current algebra and the non-relativistic quark model. In particular it is found that g_<ANN>〜O(N) and g_<πNN>〜O(N^<3/2).
