We point out the importance of many-body effects on Y_1^* resonances in the reaction ^<12>C(K^-, π^-)^<12>_ΛC^* at p_K=800 MeV/c by using the isobar-doorway model formulated for K^^--nucleus reactions by Kisslinger. The many-body corrections for Y_1^*'s in nuclei are parametrized by using the resonance mass shift ΔM and collision-broadening factor β. It is shown that the cross sections calculated in this model tend to approach the observed data with the phenomenological value of ΔM related to the Σ-well depth.
