Usually Λ and Σ hypernuclear problems are discussed separately. However one should discuss these problems simultaneously with the same potential and with the same way of calculation because the transition ΛN↔ΣN plays an essential role to estimate the Λ and Σ well depths. We use the same YN potential with the isospin I=1/2 state for calculating the D_Λ and D_Σ(I=1/2). We set up a one channel Σ^+ p potential with the isospin I=3/2 state for calculating the D_Σ(I= 3/2). Then we obtain the Λ and Σ well depths to be D_Λ=29.98 MeV and D_Σ=25.49 MeV.
