The diffraction slope parameters B for π^+p and K^+p at 25.2 and 40.1 GeV/c are calculated by the use of experimental values of B for π^- and K^-p and of the total cross sections for π^-p, π^+p, K^-p and K^+p. Various inelastic processes are grouped into several relatives associated with quark-line diagrams of D-, H-, X- and Z-types. Overlap functions due to D and H (Z is neglected and X is set equivalent to H)are taken as Gaussian types in the impact-parameter space, and helicities are neglected. Decomposition of the final baryonic states into 1, 8 and 10 is made. A damping factor is introduced for strangeness-exchange amplitudes. The predicted values of the diffraction slope parameters B are essentially independent of the free parameter (seven parameters against six lnput data). The results are, in the unit of (GeV/c)^<-2>, 8.97±0.41 and 8.25±0.46 at 25.2 GeV/c and 9.42±0.51 and 8.17±0.43 at 40.1 GeV/c for π^p and K^+p, respectively. These values are in agreement with those extrapolated from low energy data. For K^-n and K^+n and σ_T are calculated; the results comparatively depend on the free parameter. The predicted values on σ_T cover the experimental ones with minorambiguity.
