Dynamic Properties of One-Dimensional Harmonic Liquids. II : Energy Density Correlation and Heat Transport

• For a one-dimensional liquid in which the particles interact with the nearest-neighbor harmonic force, the heat energy density correlation function is calculated for long wavelengths and low frequencies. This correlation function exhibits neither a simple diffusion process nor a simple damped wave propagation. Most of heat energy is carried at the sound speed, but yet a considerable amount of heat remains as t^<-1> for a long time t. The heat current correlation function shows that, when a uniform current exists initially, this current is preserved even if there exists no temperature gradient.
