Anomalous Relaxation in One-Dimensional Magnets. II : Satellite Structure of EPR Line Shape

Anomalies of the angle-dependent ESR line shape due to the long-time t^<-1/2> tail in one-dimensional Heisenberg paramagnets are treated in the high-temperature limit by making use of a new mode-coupling theory of spin relaxation presented in the previous paper by the present authors. A systematic continued-fraction representation of the time-correlation spectra is derived by taking account of all higher-order couplings to the spin-diffusion process. Since the continued fraction converges rapidly, the spectral functions of the ESR line shape can be computed numerically. Thus the line shape, the line width and the frequency shift of the main resonance line (ω_0-line), and the line shape and the line width of the first-order (2ω_0-1ine) and the second-order (3ω_0-line) satellites are calculated and compared with experiments.
