The high-speed compression-test has been in use recently to find out the characteristic of soil deformation under high-speed loadings. It seems, however, that studies for the dynamic property of sensors used for this kind of test equipment has not been performed. The analytical method of two-point stress measurement applied to the theory of one-dimensional wave propagation is studied for the dynamic response of the load-cell sensor. This study shows that the use of this sensor should have restriction for the high speed test because of its low sensitivity to the dynamic test.
