By using CO_2 laser unit, hemostatic effect on cut margin of the canine stomach, small and large intestines and healing process of these anastomoses were studied. No bleeding occurred from cut end of the stomach and the intestines. It was demonstrated by histologic examination that all anastomoses were well fused 2 weeks after surgery. But delay of complete fusion at anastomotic site was observed in the group resected by CO_2 laser.
