• In view of the scarcity of records for <I>Chimarrogale platycephala platycephala</I> from Kyûshû, the following 4 adult female specimens seem to be worthy of note:<BR>Specimen no. Locality Date<BR>1 ôtake, Mt. Kujû, ôita Pref. 4 Nov. 1962<BR>2 ôtake, Mt. Kujû, ôita Pref. 28 July 1963<BR>3 Mt. Kumado, Fukuoka Pref. 3 Aug. 1963<BR>4 Mt. Kanayama, Fukuoka Pref. 21 Mar. 1965<BR>External and cranial measurements of these 4 specimens were slightly inferior to the measurements of general forms from Honshû with the exception of ear length (see Table 1) .<BR>The teats of 3 specimens (Nos. 2, 3 and 4) were well developed and their uteri were slightly swollen.
