Neurotological findings in a case of presumed multiple sclerosis.

A 45-year-old woman with a diagnosis of probable multiple sclerosis had various abnormal eye movements. Her initial rotatory nystagmus changed to down-beating nystagmus in the primary position of gaze and horizontal rebound nystagmus was observed. Impairment of nystagmus inhibition was found in OKN, OKAN, rotatory after nystagmus, head shaking after nystagmus and visual suppression test. Lesions in the right external medulla, cerebellar vermis, flocculi and fastigial nuclei were presumably responsible for these neurotological findings.
