In recent years, attention has been focused on the relationship between cerebellar disturbance and abnormal eye movement, and discussions have been lively. It is widely known, for example, that Horizontal Rebound Nystagmus or contrast nystagmus seen on horizontal gaze accompanies cerebellar lesions.We have found that Vertical Rebound Nystagmds may also occur during vertical gaze. Our patient lead rebound nystagmus directed upwards when there was a rapid shift from downward to forward gaze.This may be the first description of Vertical Rebound Nystagmus from downward gaze to forward gaze, as demonstrated by ENG recording.
