In order to analyze the signal integrity of high speed interconnects on PCB more efficiently, this paper present a hybrid method, which combines the time domain macromodeling and circuit simulator that are all based on the S-parameter obtained by full-wave finite difference time domain (FDTD). For the mixed frequency/time domain problem with S-parameter based macromodeling, the rational function approximation is adopted and the vector fitting method with complex pole pairs is employed to improve the precision and stability of the approximation, which is robust and precise enough to approach the S-parameter with resonant peaks under very high frequency. On the basis, the SPICE compatible equivalent circuit is established and connected with general simulator to perform a circuit simulation. In order to validate the hybrid simulation method, two numerical experiments are performed.
