Orthodontic treatment usually provides acceptable occlusion, however, esthetic problems sometimes remain at the end of treatment. This article presents evidence of the usefulness of the porcelain laminate veneer restorations with a periodontal procedure to improve facial esthetics. The patient had a severe dental protrusion with crowding. Therefore, we extracted the protruded upper left central incisor and moved the lateral incisor to the extraction site. In the retention phase, the lateral incisor was restored with a porcelain laminate veneer after gingivoplasty with bone plastic surgery. As a result of these esthetic procedures combined with the orthodontic treatment, an excellent appearance and esthetic smile were achieved. This method thus enhances the results of orthodontic treatment more completely.
