High Resolution Electron Microscopic Study of Oxide Particles Produced by the Coalescence of Smoke Particles of Iron and Iron Oxide

The structure of particles in a mixture of Fe smoke and γ-Fe_2O_3 smoke prepared by gas evaporation were in vestigated by crystal lattice imaging in high-resolution electron microscopy. Fe_3O_4, Fe_3O_4+Fe and Fe_3O_4+α-Fe_2O_3 particles are formed by the coalescence of Fe and γ-Fe_2O_3 particles above 350℃.
