The structure of the particles in a mixture of Al and Cu smokes prepared by gas evaporation has been studied by electron microscopy in order to clarify the nature of the smoke particles. A mixed particle consisting of low- and high-temperature phase was observed near the evaporation sources. An Al particle containing a small amount of Cu showed many phases of the precipitation process. The appearance of the high and low temperature phases at different places in the smoke was consistent with the temperature of the particles in the smoke.
