Quasistatic 2-D MHD Equilibrium Calculations for Oscillating-Current RFP Plasmas

Quasistatic 2-D MHD equilibrium has been studied, by solving the Grad-Shafranov equation coupled with circuit equations for coil and shell currents, for RFP plasmas with F-Θ pumping current-drive electric fields. The effect of a resistive shell has been taken into account, as well as the image field from an iron core. The shift of the magnetic axis has been evaluated for the dimensions of the REPUTE-1 RFP device.
