A cooling condition for making amorphous PdAgSi alloys by means of the roller-quenching method has been obtained. It is found that the temperature of the filament immediately after rolling depends on both the filament thickness and the contact time with rolls. In the case of the Pd_67Ag_15Si_11 alloy, which resists becoming amorphous, the quenching temperature and rolling speed must be selected so as to make the filament temperature after roller-quenching as low as 32O℃
