• Four new flavonoids (I-VI) were isolated from the root of Scutellaria rivularis WALL, together with 7-O-β-D-glucuronopyranosides of baicalein, wogonin, carthamidin and isocarthamidin. The structures of I-IV were shown to be 7-hydroxy-5,8-dimethoxyflavone 7-O-β-D-glucuronopyranoside, 5,7,8,2'-tetrahydroxyflavone 7-O-β-D-glucuronopyranoside, 5,2'-dihydroxy-7,8,6'-trimethoxyflavone 2'-O-β-D-glucuronopyranoside and 5,2', 6'-trihydroxy-7,8-dimethoxyflavone 2'-O-β-D-glucuronopyranocide, respectively, on the basis of the chemical and spectral data.
