A novel flavonol glycoside, mp 182-184°, named asiaticalin (I) was isolated from the fresh trophophyll of Osmunda asiatica OHWI (Osmundaceae). The structure of I was established as being kaempferol 3-β-alloside. This is the first found alloside of flavonoid, ^<13>C-nuclear magnetic resonance spectrum of I was discussed in comparison with those of kaempferol (II), and astragalin (X) isolated from the same plant.
