Geometrical Effect of Mcrogroove Surface on Alignmert of Liquid crystal Molecules

Microgroove(MG)substrate using a ruling engine was evaluated geometrically and optically. As the result, it was confirmed that the MG substrate had periodic structure and uniform molecular alignment was observed partially. Precise control of the ruhing engine promises uniform molecular alignment of LCDs.
