Nonlinear transverse oscillation of elastic beam under end-thrust has beenexamined with full account of the rigorous nonlinear relation of curvature anddeformation Of elastic beam. When the beam iS subjected t0 tension, the derivedecruation is shown to be reduced to one of the new intesrable evolution equationsdiscovered bar us. Since intesration of the derived ecauation bar the inverse scatter..in,w method roses itself new r>roblems, stationar>r solutions have been examineato provide basic informations for soliton solutions. A singular solitary wavesolution has been obtained as a limiting case of stationary periodic solutions ofthe reduced nonlinear evolution equation.
