A new scheme of the inverse scattering method is proposed. As an illustrationof novel feature of our scheme, the set of fuutdamental equations has beenpresented for a generalized nc>nlinear Schr6dinger equation, of which nonlinearterms are composed of a usual cubic nonlinear term ancl a derivative cubicnonlinear term.
