We consider the loxv-energy taaagnetic excitations of nanogratphite ribbons with zigzag edges.Tlte zigzag ribbotas possess alraaost [1;tt bands at the Ferraai level xvhich catrse a ferriraaagnetic sjcir'npolarization localized at tlae edge sites. The sjcirr xvave tmode of' tlais raaatgnetic state is iravestigatedby a randoraa phase approxirnation of the corresponding Htrlcbard tr?odel. This restrlt is trsed toderive ara effective Heisenberg unodel xvith ladder strttctttre. Although this systena has a spin'x gap(Haldane type), ottr analysis slaoxvs that the gap is sutaall and the tendency towards ferrirnag?aeticcorrelation at tlue edges is strong.
