Low-temperature thermodynamic properties of the spin- 4 Heisenberg ladder system with non-unagnetic impurities are discussed using an effective Hamiltonian for the impvurity-indtuced SPIIISin the background of a spin liquid with a gap. It is shown that the unnform susceptibilityshows Curie-like behavior in high-, intermediate-, and low-temperature regimes, with three dif-ferent Curie constants. The ratio of specific heat to temperattmre, CAT, is divergent in thelow-temperature limit, reflecting a singular distribution of the effective couplings among theimpurity spins.
