Transport Properties of NdB_6 Single Crystal under the Magnetic Fields up to 15 T

We have sttndied the transport properties of NdB? single crystal under the znagnetic fieldsup to 15 T between 2 K and 15 K. The Hall resistivity is constant in the paramagnetic regionbut shows an increase with decreasing temperattrre below 'Z'7V, which indicates the decrease of acarrier concentration in the antiferronaagnetic (AF) state. This originates from the cttt of theFernai surface by super-zone in the AF state. Both resistivity p and specific heat exhibit roughlyT' dependence below x6 K, being different frozn those expected for a usual AF metal. Thissuggests a finite contribtttion of magnons in ferrornagnetic layers in the type I AF structtrre tolow energy excitations of NdB(,. There exists no indication of tlue resistivity anomaly due to theAF ordering around Tx. In the pararnagnetic region, p decreases and a thermal conductivitytc increases but a Lorentz number L decreases with increasing tnagnetic field. The former twoproperties originate from a suppression of large Q spin fluctuations by the magnetic field butthe latter indicates that the inelastic spin-flip scattering becounes irnportant with magnetic field.The magnetic field dependences of p, K and L is very small in the AF state, which indicates thatthe probability of the spin-flip scattering is not changed by the magnetic field.
