Ferromagnetic Resonance of Fe/Mg Multilayered Films with Artificial Superstructure

Ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) of multilayered metallic films synthesized from aninsoluble combination of Fe and Mg is studied in a temperature range from 10 K to300 K. A well defined FMR signal is observed in each sample with Fe thickness rang-ing from 4 A to 30 A. The observed spectra are found to be strongly dependent on theregularity of the layered structure. The resonance field exhi bits an unusual shift whichchanges systematically as a function of the thickness as well as temperature. Theorigin of the shift of the resonance field is discussed in relation to the amorphous-likestructure observed for the thickness less than 12 A.[FMR, Fe/Mg, multilayered films, artificial structure, magnetic anisotropy, ll amorphous structurel
