Neutron Scattering Investigation of the Ferromagnetic Heavy Fermion System CeSi_<1.76>Cu_<0.24>

Neutron scattering measurernents on the heavy fermion system CeSi....Cu.... con-firm a phase transition to ferromagnetic order below T.=S K. The ordered momentjt=0.62*O.O5 jt. is about four times smaller than the effective moment above T. andagrees well with the saturation moment determined by dc-tnagnetization measurements. The moments lie in the basal plane of the tetragonal urtit cell. The very weakcritical magnetic scattering suggests a new type of lcccal momertt formation below T..
