We report the results of inelastic neutron scattering measurements on the orderedinvar alloy Fe,Pt in the paramagnetic phase. The qualitative properties of themagnetic scattering are similar to those measured in other isotropic cubic fer-romagnets. We have found, however, that the temperature dependence of thequasielastic scattering is neither consistent with the predictions of Resibois and Piettefor a Heisenberg ferromagnet, nor with band theory.
