Collective density excitationts are studied in Ferrni liquids, with particular attentionto the role of the Landau parameter of the second order F.. The density response func-lion 7,(k, z) including F. is obtained by solving the Landau transport equation in thecollisionless regime. From comparison of it with an formal expression in the smallwavenumber limit, a relation is pointed out between F. and a pair correlation func-lion. It is also found that there exists a critical value of F. above which z(k, z) exhibitstwo poles outside the contintaum region. Zero-sound modes and their intensities, aswell as the dynamical structure factor S(k, co), are evaluated below and above thecritical value. Discussion is also given on the F.-dependence of S(k, co) at non-zerowavenumbers.
