Dynamical properties of super-cooled liquids are studied in the intermediatewavenumber region. A polarization function is shown to describe the relaxationof the structure sustaining effective potentials. Effects of its slow relaxation arediscussed on the dynamical structure factor as well as the transverse currentcorrelation function for liquid argon.
