Raman scattering and infrared reflectaucce have been measured in 214-MoSe..We observed all Raman-active modes, A.., E.., E3. and E:., and two infrared-active modes, Ef. amtd Aj.. Itatralayer force coutstautts are estimated from thecemttral force model. The bond betweet? metal (Mo) axtd chalcogen (Se) predoxni-nates over the high-lying phonon frequencies with loxtg wavelength. 011 the otherhaaad, interlayer shear force cottstant is estimated fromn the frequextcy of Ej.mode, that is a rigid-layer unode, attd is much smaller thaut the intralayer forceconstauats. This fact, which is siunilar to that in other group VIB transition-metaldichalcogenides, reflects that the interlayer interaction is due to V311 der Waalsforce. The second-order Ramatt spectrum has beema also observed and discussed.
