Phonon Structures in Reflection Spectrum of Red Mercury Iodide

Optical spectrum of red Hgl. in the A exciton region was s;tudied by means ofwavelength modulated reflectance and magnetic circular dicchroism. Many finestructures are observed, some of which shift diamagnetically parallel to eachother with an LO phonon energy interval. They are assigned as phonon replicasof the 2s exciton.
