The emission and excitation spectra of alkali halide thallous phosphors havebeen observed at liquid helium temperature under high pressure. The pressureeffect of the several emission bands which appear at IOXN/ tempsrature by theirradiation in the C band is presented. In Kl : Tl, upon the phase transition, Nail+CsCl type structure, there appears a.nother trij>let state which has an adia,batic.potential energy surface very similar to that of .7,.
