The temperature-dependent Thomas-Fermi-Dirac-Weizsdcker theory with a correlalion correction, which was proposed previously (J. Phys. Soc. Jpn. 54 (1985) 1282), isapplied to an atom embedded in a neutral heat bath. Taking Fe atom as an example, the electron density, energy, free energy, pressure, and entrc>py are evaluated over awide range of temperature and compression (0<A7'<1000eV, 0.1<p/p.<1000).These are compared with the results obtained from the simple Thomas-Fermi Theoryand the Thomas-Fermi-Dirac theory with the correlation correction. The effect of theexchange-correlation correction and that of the Weizsicker correction are discussed.
