Nonlinear Conductivity Due to Field-Induced Depinning of Charge-Density Waves in NbSe_3

The conductivity o. due to sliding charge-density-wave (CDW) was measured in the7'.-CDW regime of NbSe.. The measurements were also cart-ied out on both crystalsdoped with Ti and with Ta. At high temperatures, where the CDW is considered in the impurity pinning regime, it is found that the field dependence of o. is independentboth of depinning field and of the temperature, but it depends largely on a kind of thedominant impurity contained within the crystal. At low temperatures where the depin-ning field of the CDW is enhanced enormously, tone field dependence of o. is differentdrastically from that observed at high temperatures.
