The distribution function deformed by a mono<:hromatic plasma wave with afinite amplitude in a rare collision plasma, first derived by Zakharov and Karpman(1962), is re-examined. A like-particle collision operator is used which satisfiesthe requirement of momentum conservation. A cu?=rent threefold larger than thatobtainable from the previous distribution is obtairmed while the energy loss of thewave is exactly the same in both calculations. 71 discussion on application ofthis theory to a current drive by a general plasmna wave will be briefly given.
