The radial profile of DC toroidal current driven by an RF travelling field isstudied experimentally in a magnetized plasma, in connection with the radialprofile of RF field. As the toroidal magnetic field increases, the RF field B.penetrates the plasma and becomes bell-shaped profile, while the DC current hasa hollow structure. The hollow type structure of induced current is interpretedon the basis of fofce balance between the electfomotive force due to RF travellingfield and the frictional force due to collisions, where the former is proportionalto the absorbed RF power.
