The relation between the current generated by RF travelling field and theabsorbed power is studied in a collisional toroidal plasma, parameters beingphase velocity and filling gas pressure or electron collision frequency. It is observedat a low magnetic field th'at the current is proportional to the plasma conductivityand an effective electromotive force, which is a new concept introduced on thebasis of fluid model ; the electromotive force is proportional to the absorbed RFpower and inversely proportional to the plasma density and the phase velocityof the travelling field.
